My artwork - whether it's photography or digital imagery - is my vision of the world which comes to life in action and leads to a source of meditation. Spontaneity - the suspended moment - intervenes during action and then reflects upon the viewer. I love beautiful things and I want to make images that lift people's spirits. I see the giving and receiving of art as something intensely personal. I approach image-making with the idea that the potential for creating a captivating image exists only when a powerful emotion is felt and conveyed. Whether it's a landscape, a portrait, a fleeting street scene or an abstract image, I allow myself to be drawn to that which mirrors the essence of my inner vision. An example of this is the project "Facing the Loaded Gun," a photo essay depicting the true spiritual foundation of hope, healing and living.
